The Ghost of Everstin summary

Fritter is a young raccoon who helps run a bakery with the rest of his family. They live in the comfortable town of Everstin where nothing extraordinary tends to happen until one day he discovers by accident that he has the ability to heal wounds, accelerate plant growth, and more! Soon after, the land they inhabit is plagued by a dark ash that consumes the whole region of Whitewood, turning many of the animals in the area into dark, aggressive beasts. Fritter takes it upon himself to find the cause of this darkness, and sets off into the unknown. Will he be able to bring daylight back to Whitewood?
