About Jeremy Lindquist

Jeremy Lindquist grew up in the upper peninsula of Michigan, surrounded by all of the nature and woodland animals that inspired him to create the world of Whitewood. After graduating high school, Jeremy worked in various parts of Michigan until he figured out what he wanted to do for a living. After attending college and earning a culinary degree, Jeremy worked as a baker and a pastry chef for a few years before moving to Montana to be with his husband, Timothy Rivers. They stayed in Montana for a while before eventually making their way to Vermont, where they officially settled down and bought a house.

Timothy does a lot of photography, giving them a good excuse to get out and hunt for the perfect photo. They tend to focus on birds, scenery, and any other wildlife they can find.

Jeremy had always loved animals growing up, and was always happiest when around them. Taking after his mother, he always prefered the company of animals over people. He has always been a child at heart, and very much still is entering well into his thirties. It wasn’t until semi-recently Jeremy decided it was time to create his fantasy world he had pondered about for so long. He wanted to create a world that combined happiness, emotion, adventure, magic, and of course, animals. He took heavy inspiration from the late Brian Jacques, the creator of the redwall series, with the goal of creating a story that would make young readers as happy as Redwall made him when he was younger.

Jeremy loves to spend his off time writing, hiking, playing video games, and playing with his dogs. Jeremy and Timothy own a wonderful husky named Kiba, and a great German shepherd named Remi. They often take the dogs out on long hikes and try to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. When they’re not hanging around at home or hiking around the state, they like to take trips to Massachusetts to spend time with their niece and nephews.
